Jonna Carter grew up in California, in her dad’s words, a “free-range Berkeley child.” She raised a glorious roster of pet rats over the years and spent most afternoons on nature hikes with her adventurous pups. She studied writing at Sarah Lawrence College and later received an MFA in Fiction from San Francisco State University. Grown-up Jonna loves brand new socks, nerdy boardgames and fancies herself an amateur canoeist, iced-matcha freak and plant-based donut connoisseur. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, two kids, a dog and five chickens.
